Seek the Kingdom of God and His
righteousness; all those who follow Christ uphold His kingdom and His
righteousness.
1) Rejoice in the Lord, and he will
give you the desires of your heart. 'Psalm 37: 4 we must earnestly desire that
the "kingdom of God", the law and the power of God, be manifested in
our lives and in our congregations.
2) We need to seek “righteousness,”
that is, through the Holy Spirit, to obey the law of Christ, to inherit the
righteousness of Christ, to be separate from the world, and to show Christ to
all.
The kingdom
of God
The kingdom of God is basically the
exercise of divine power. 'Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me,
he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him. 'John 14:23; 'And when he had said this, he
breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 'John 20:22;
'Oh
that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the
mountains might flow down at thy presence,1 Isaiah 64: 1; 'And he said unto
them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which
shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with
power. 'Mark 9:1; 'For the kingdom of
God is not in word, but in power. '1 Corinthians 4:20.We must view this power,
not as a physical or political force, but as a spiritual power. God's kingdom
is not a religious and political divinity; it is not the social and political
rule over the governments of this world. 'Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of
this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight,
that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from
hence. 'John 18:36. At this time God will not do any social or political
activity in order to redeem and renew the world, and he will not use force 'Then
said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that
take the sword shall perish with the sword. ' Matthew 26:52
The world in this time will become
the enemy of God and of his ' If ye were of the world, the world would love his
own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the
world, therefore the world hateth you. 'John 15:19
'I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to
this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 'Romans
12:1-2, 'Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the
world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is
the enemy of God. 'James 4:4; 'Love not the world, neither the things that are in
the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For
all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world
passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth
forever. '1 John 2:15-17 ; 'And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse;
and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he
doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were
many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 'Revelation
19:11-12
2) The manifestation of the power
of God causes the devil's kingdom to be filled with fear 'And when the tempter
came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be
made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then
the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of
the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down:
for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in
their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot
against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt
the Lord thy God. 'Matthew 4:3-7' Or else how can one enter into a strong man's
house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he
will spoil his house. 'Matthew 12:29; 'Saying, Let us alone; what have we
to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know
thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 'Mark 1:24; Anyone refuses to submit to
the Kingdom of God or not. 'In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in
the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is
at hand. 'Matthew 3:1-2; 'From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say,
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 'Matthew 4:17;'Now after that
John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom
of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye, and believe the gospel. 'Mark 1:14-15 It is necessary to enter into
the kingdom of God The basic condition is to "repent," and to accept
the word believe in the gospel.
