Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by
one. Much more they which receive
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one,
Jesus Christ.
1)Sin entered the world through one person(Genesis 3: 17-19) 17 And unto
Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast
eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt NOT eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake;
in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and
thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the
field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto
the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust
shalt thou return. 1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death,
by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even
so in Christ shall all be made alive. Sin of Adam's
guilt to all mankind(Genesis 6:5-12) 5 And God saw
that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every
imaginary thoughts of his heart was
continuously evil. 6 And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I
have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping
thing, and the fowls of the air; for I regret that I have made them. 8 But Noah
found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah
was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.10 Noah
begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11 The earth also was corrupt before
God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked upon the earth,
and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the
earth. 1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world was
covered in wickedness.
2)Because of
sin, death entered into the world, and since everyone has sinned; we all fall
short of God’s glorious standard. Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest
thereof thou shalt surely die Genesis 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth
from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Because of
God’s judgment, Adam was classified as a mortal human being and by this action,
the spread of infectious diseases became rampant on the earth.
Paul said that
by the perfection of the life of Jesus Christ, we have abolished the
consequences of sin. The death of Christ has made man whole because he has
sacrificed himself to abolish the consequences of Adam’s sin.
Romans 5:14
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not
sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him
that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if
through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the
gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
